Seeing red, or not - A good friend of mine is colour-blind. Not a disabling condition but one that I have difficulty relating to because I can't imagine what the world looks like to him. When he helps out on the discos that I do, he often has to get me to check that he's wearing a tie that matches his jacket or shirt.
Vischeck has a colour-blind simulator allowing you to view pictures (their examples or images you upload) as they would be seen by people with various types of colour-blindness. It will also allow you to view websites as they would be seen. I don't know whether this link is permanent but I checked this blog here.
