TV heaven & hell - ITV1 has managed to go from the excellent to the downright awful in just 24 hours.
The Second Coming was a superb 2 part drama screened on Sunday and Monday night. I'm not one for TV dramas, they're all far too "Sarah Lancashire" for me (brit reference, translate as sugar-puff sweet and sickly) but this was excellent. If you didn't catch this programme, you really should. I won't do a review because I'm no good at them. (and, yes, the irony of having to link to a BBC site for details on an ITV programme is not lost on me.
Compare and Contrast with.....
Surprise Weddings - 6, frankly desperate, wanna-be brides drag their unsuspecting partners on to national, prime time TV and ask them to marry them. I can't think of anything worse. Why not just bring the shotgun along? I feel truly sorry for the 6 blokes who will be put in an impossible situation. How can they possibly say "no"? I sincerely hope this flops drastically.
