You're not missing anything. I've been a little remiss on the journal type entries of late. This really is because I've had very little to talk about.
Depression still mutes my reactions to virtually every experience. I find it hard to get excited about anything, and I can't really afford to get blue because it takes days to lift myself up again.
Connor is now settling OK during the night. He wakes about 3 times for a feed but generally goes straight back down afterwards. He is a very healthy little boy and passed all of his 8 week checks. The first immunisation injections were a little traumatic though. There are some more photos which I should get around to posting on the Net soon.
I've finally managed to land myself another job. The main reason I'm not jumping up and down for joy is that it doesn't start until early January. So I've got to find a way to support the family until then. And of course anything could happen over the next 3 months so I'm not feeling overly secure about it. I'm still looking for an alternative.
Sharon hasn't had another gall stone attack but the confirmation of the diagnosis came through following her ultrasound scan. It looks like she'll have to have an operation to remove her gall bladder. Hopefully that'll be done before Christmas.
Other than that, life just putters along. My motivation to achieve anything has dropped through the floor so one day just kinda merges into another. Once again I lament; I really must get myself sorted out and motivate myself to achieve the 1001 things that I need to do.
Game on! OK. Call me slow, but I've just got into Unreal Tournament. I've got the Game of the Year version after playing it at a friend's house the other day. I'm gonna take a few days playing against the computer opponents before I go online though.
For years I've resisted the pull of multiplayer first-person shoot 'em ups, but the Deathmatches are just addictive. I love the huge choice of weapons and the blood & guts as the enemy is obliterated (although I've got the gore turned down a touch as the computer is in a family area).
I'll give it a go online in a couple of days to see how I fare.
Soooooooo not me! How on earth do I end up getting a hit from the search
married brits looking for sex?
"Not-so-Hot"mail. I use Hotmail as 2 of my active email accounts and the amount of Spam it receives annoys me. However, I can live with it as ot only takes 30 seconds to delete. However some of it is Porn spam. This used to worry me when I was accessing my email from work (back when I had a job).
The big concern though is that Chloe's email is routed through a Hotmail account. I am concerned that she may be exposed to something inappropriate. I do regularly access her account to check for stuff that shouldn't be there, but I am glad that
Microsoft are taking action to cut Spam going through Hotmail accounts.
Shock Formula 1 News! You may be aware that I'm a big fan of F1 so I was suprised to receive the following press announcement.
************Press Release***********
The Ferrari F1 Team fired their entire pit crew. The announcement followed
Ferrari's decision to take advantage of Tony Blair's incentive "Work for All"
scheme and hire unemployed youths from Liverpool.
The decision to hire them was brought on by a recent documentary on how the
unemployed youths in Liverpool were able to remove a set of car wheels in less
than six seconds without proper equipment, whereas Ferrari's existing crew can
only do it in eight seconds.
This was thought to be an excellent yet bold move by Ferrari Management, as
most races are won & lost in the pits, Ferrari would have a distinct advantage
over every team.
However Ferrari's expectations were soon shattered, as during the new Crew's
first practice session; not only were "da boys from Bootle" able to change the
tyres in under six seconds, but within 12 seconds they had resprayed, rebadged
and sold the vehicle to the McLaren Team for four dozen Stella's and a gram of
charlie.

A whale of a time. There's something magical about whale song. It seems
this site used to have live audio feeds from a microphone off the coast of Maui. Unfortunately there is no longer a live feed but there is a 20 minute Real Audio clip
here.
Hack you way into more info about Tron 2.0 Tron used to be one of my favourite films and, despite the obvious limitations on special effects available when the film was made, I think it stands the test of time.
This website seems to have some relevance to Tron 2.0 a
possible sequel to Tron. It's one of those interactive game websites where you have to solve the mystery and hack the system. Unfortunately I don't have the time myself. If anyone learns anything interesting, let me know.
Just Links. A collection of links I've been holding onto for a couple of days.
Createbands.com Create your own band (duh!). This is the kind of thing Flash was made for.
Groove Blender 2. Whilst you're making your own music, try out Groove Blender 2. There's an online demo for a quick fix, or you can download the full version for free. Create simple (or not so simple) loops using provided samples to build up a complete track.
Hampshire Crop Circles. I personally believe that Crop Circles are the work of pranksters or people with an agenda (a tourism boost perhaps?). They are not alien and they are certainly not supernatural. However, faked or not, you've gotta appreciate the artistry achieved with this one last year.
Manga Strip Poker In French. How bizarre, but a good game of poker too. It helps if you can speak French, but I managed to work it out regardless of my complete lack of knowledge of the French language.
Movie Trailer Jerry Seinfeld's making a movie? Can't say I'm a big fan of his but this trailer made me giggle. Could take a while to download if you're on dial-up. (Get cable already!).

- 1. Do you have a favorite piece of poetry or prose written by someone else? Care to share it? I do, unfortunately I can't find it. Someone gave it to me after my first wife died. I was going to post it in 9-11 because it's kind of appropriate.
- 2. In High School, did you enjoy creative writing? Do you currently do any other writing in addition to your Blog? No and No. I'm not what you'd call a creative person.
- 3. Have you ever noticed that the Blog entries you least expect to get the most comments do, and those you expect to generate a lot of feedback don't? Which Blog entry of yours surprised you by getting a lot of comments? Which one did you think would generate a lot but didn't? I don't get enough visitors to the site to generate "lots" of comments but I was disappointed when no-one picked up on The Game.
- 4. Sometimes you get a chance to make a lifestyle change that has a huge impact on the course your life takes. That is, a moment where something became very clear to you, and that realization changed your life, such as: the need to leave a relationship, to stop an addiction, to bond with someone, to start a new career, and so on. Have you ever had an "awakening" moment in your life? Yes I've had at least one of those but I don't feel up to talking about it right now.
- 5. Then there are other times where you can have a huge impact on someone else's life. You suggest they see a doctor, stop them from taking that last drink, or maybe just say some kind words at the moment. Have you made a lasting positive impact on the life of someone else? I once took someone onto my team at work when her previous manager had been about to give her the sack. I placed her with someone I knew would mentor her and the two of us helped her develop her skills and confidence. I recently heard she has been promoted twice since I left.
- 6. Are there any charities or organizations which you support? How did you come to be involved with them? I support Compton Hospice who help care for the terminally in Wolverhampton. My first wife spent some time their before she died. I don't do as much as I should to support them to be honest.
- 7. Care to collaborate with me? Help me out and write the rest of this poem:
I drifted though a dream last night,
visions full of colors bright.
My thoughts began to drift to you,
and in an instant we were two.
I touched your hand,
We began to blend,
Filled with a feeling
that should have no end.
Erm......
Roses are red,
Violets are blue,
I'm schizophrenic,
and so am I.
- BONUS: Hey cutie, what's up with this attitude? I'm not feeling too good. OK?
Bleurg! I don't feel too well today. Sickness, diarrohea and a complete lack of energy. I've slept for about 16 hours and I'm still tired. Hopefully I'll be back on form tomorrow.
Stoned. Yesterday morning, at about 5am, Sharon was awoken with an excruciating pain in her midriff. The pain she said was the worst she has ever experienced, worse than anything to do with the caesarean. It was located directly under her breast bone but was so intense it felt like her whole diaphram was burning.
This was about the eighth attack she's had. They started when she was about 6 months pregnant but continued after Connor was delivered. Sharon has been to see her doctor about them and he suspects that she is suffering from Gall Stones. Normally the attacks ease after 20 minutes or so but yesterday's was still going strong after an hour and a half so we decided to take her to the hospital.
In total, Sharon was in agony for over 5 hours. The consultant at the A&E agreed with Sharon's doctor that she probably has Gall Stones.
Gall Stones will mean that Sharon has to change her diet and, to an extent, her life style to reduce their occurence.
Humour. When I was about 15 I heard what I considered, at the time, to be the funniest joke ever.
Q: How do you make a dog drink?
A: Put it in the liquidiser!
Childish I know (and a little sick) but for about 5 years my friends could reduce me to tears of laughter by repeating that joke.
