Stoned. Yesterday morning, at about 5am, Sharon was awoken with an excruciating pain in her midriff. The pain she said was the worst she has ever experienced, worse than anything to do with the caesarean. It was located directly under her breast bone but was so intense it felt like her whole diaphram was burning.
This was about the eighth attack she's had. They started when she was about 6 months pregnant but continued after Connor was delivered. Sharon has been to see her doctor about them and he suspects that she is suffering from Gall Stones. Normally the attacks ease after 20 minutes or so but yesterday's was still going strong after an hour and a half so we decided to take her to the hospital.
In total, Sharon was in agony for over 5 hours. The consultant at the A&E agreed with Sharon's doctor that she probably has Gall Stones.
Gall Stones will mean that Sharon has to change her diet and, to an extent, her life style to reduce their occurence.
