1. What do you do to make things better when you feel sad and/or lonely? Ignore the world until it goes away. I used to vegetate in front of the TV but now I tend to drift aimlessly around the internet.
2. Are you a "touchy-feely" person? That is, do you like to touch people you don't know that well? And on the flipside of that, do you like being touched by someone you aren't close with? It depends on the situation and on the gender of the stranger to be honest.
3. Do you like to have "me" time, time to yourself to be alone and relax? Or do you prefer to just do your own thing with someone else in the room? When was the last "me" time you got and what did you do? I desperately need some "me" time and I'm not getting enough of it. When I do I tend to just sit and contemplate my navel. But when you've got 3 kids you learn to get on with what you're doing and "tune out" the background noise.
4. Generally speaking, how do you feel about the concept of marriage? Are you the marrying type? Do you think the act of getting married means something today or is it simply just "a piece of paper?" I am married. We "did the deed" nearly 10 months ago. So I guess you could say that I'm a believer in it. I did it for a couple of reasons. 1) To show the world, and all my family and friends, how much my wife means to me, and 2) To help Sharon's (our) 2 children feel that I wanted them as part of my family.
5. That said, as many as 25 states have passed legislation regulating who they believe should be the "marrying type." What are your thoughts on the banning of same-sex marriages? Same-sex marriages should be allowed legally. There is no reason why the law should ban it. If some of the less forward thinking religions wish to frown upon it then that is there problem, but it should not effect the law.
6. If there was one law you had the ability to create or change, what would it be? It wouldn't be a law. Rather the belief of those who set the laws that they should protect us from ourselves. Laws should be there to protect us from each other, but where a crime's only victim is the perpetrator, should the law makers really intervene?
7. What would you like someone visiting your Blog for the first time to know about you? Now is your chance! I'm a nice person really. And funny. And occasionally witty. And, I'm told, quite intelligent.
BONUS: Can you hear them? Nope. The drugs stopped that a long time ago. Every now and then I feel secure enough to remove my aluminium foil beanie too.
