Bugger. Several months ago (try 3 months) some thieving scum stole all of my disco gear, £4,500 worth leaving me unable to work for 2 months. I had insurance but I had just been out and spent £2,500 on new kit which was less than 2 weeks old. As I had not finished upgrading my kit I had not notified the insurance company and updated the schedule of items covered. Consequently they will only pay out £2,200. Not to worry I thought, I'll try the home insurance. Apparently they don't cover any items used for business purposes. So finally I turned to the credit card company. Everybody knows that stuff you buy on credit card is insured, right? Wrong. They don't cover anything which is to be used for business purposes either. I don't very often get angry but I am afraid that I told the person on the other end of the phone that she "can shove your credit card up your f**king arse!". I can't stress how out of character that is for me but the last thing I need right know is even less money.
